Teco Clubcard Vouchers for Hotel Breaks

I decided to use convert my clubcard vouchers to hotel vouchers.I went ahead and ordered vouchers for the Carlton. Seems however when you go to book you cannot avail of offers advertised on their website but must pay the supposed standard rates. Herin lies the difficulty I phoned the booking line who couldnt give me details of these rates but only quote for by me giving them dates.Also phoned the hotel direct but again they couldnt give me the rates. Just wondering if anyone else had more success in getting access to these rates.Also think it is misleading to say you get 4 for 1 for each voucher because my stay costs twice as much when I book this way as it would if I booked from rates on website.

I absolutely agree. I sussed this out some time ago and decided it was better not to use my Clubcard points for booking hotels because you cannot avail of the special offers.

This is a very common marketing ploy. Generally, if you book on-line with the hotel you can get a better deal (if they have vacancies).

just sent away €37.50 worth of vouchers today for a restaurant and day trips (took me two and a half hours to get everything in order). same thing with the doolin ferries, on website if order tickets online €10 discount but have to pay full whack with vouchers. Also for this trip I need tickets to the value of €45 but I can only exchange vouchers into €40 or €50 meaning I have to either waste €5 in the deal in order to get trip free or add in an extra €5 cash.

Still get loads of value out of them as I save up all year for the summer trips.

Last year I remember getting an email from Shannon Development giving me these six money off vouchers for six diff hotels. Turns out cheaper to book hotel directly, I emailed shannon dev who didnt want to know and stated these vouchers are ideal for people with no internet access (yet they were sending me the vouchers by email).

As for tesco vouchers last year I just ordered them all for same attraction (starting with R) and any attraction took them but this year couldnt do that, which is why it took me so long as i had to plan where we went, how much I needed etc.
