TD Expenses in Ireland

OK, not sure if this is the correct forum for this topic but I'm curious to see what people views are about our TDs and their expenses. Surely ours must be expensing for horse manure as well???
 
I have wondered this, I suspect there are quite a few TDs/Senators manuring themselves whilst watching what is going on in the UK.
 
The Irish Independent featured an article today about a Galway Councillor who had claimed mileage for travelling to/from various events. It transpired he had no car and no driver's licence and was claiming mileage for the car his his brother used to ferry him around. The Hyundai car detailed in the claims had no road-tax and no current NCT.
