How much would I expect to pay for a taxi from palmerstown to the airport. I have to catch a 9am flight so what time should I leave the house? If is a aer arann flight to galway so no luggage
 
Why not ring a few taxi or hackney (who usually have fixed fees) companies to ask? You should check Aer Arann's policies on checkin desk closure. If it was me then I would aim to be in the airport the 2 hours beforehand as usually recommended if only because it allows time for checking in, clearing security, walking miles to the departure gates etc.
 
If you want a set fee try a hackney company. Otherwise if you book a taxi you will be charged the call out fee of 2 euro plus there will be a 4.10 euro charge automatically on the meter once you get in. You have to by law pay whats on the meter and all drivers now have to have the meters on and the passenger is entitled to have the journey metered.
 
Bear in mind that some hackney companies' fixed fees can be in excess of those normally charged by taxis.
