Is this correct for joint assessed couple:
One in PAYE earns 35k and has no pension contribution. Straightforward Tax, USC and PRSI apply..
One has a public sector annual pension of 10k. Appears subject to a straight 20% Tax, 8% USC and zero PRSI. Also, this person has Invalidity Pension of €10,842. Paid gross but tax credits reduced by 20% being €2,168. No USC or PRSI payable on this invalidity.
Am I correct on the treatment of public sector pension and invalidity pension.
