I've been working as a sole trader for the last few months and am of the understanding I can write certain purchases off against my tax returns, if I use them for my work.
I am in the process of buying a PC, for around €1500, and am wondering how much of this can be written off? Is there a guide somewhere which explains it?

depending on what you do for a living the pc will be considered a business asset. Obviously a web designer will have more use of a pc than a carpenter.
It will therefore depend on the amount of use your business gets out of the pc or if it is used solely for posting on askaboutmoney.com.
