Hi all,

I am a PAYE worker, full time. I also do payroll for a seperate company, for which I 'invoice' them twice a year for a few hundred euro.
They do not take PAYE/PRSI off this, and I declare it on my tax returns as 'other income' and the revenue then tax me on it.

I can't lay my hands on the last tax return I made, so I'm trying to figure out where I put this extra few hundred euro income.

Does it go under secsion 1.6 - Other payments (e.g. payments received on commencement of employment or in consideration of change in conditions of employment) OR does it go under section 1.8 - Employments/Offices/Pensions not subject to PAYE deductions?

Thanks in advance!

section 10 seems more 'business like' than what I'm at - it asks for accounting period end date etc.

Income from trade or profession , section 10 would be correct. Bear in mind that if you have any direct costs "wholly and exclusively" incurred in carrying out the work done, you may deduct those costs from the gross income in arriving at net income.
