Tax Relief on tuition fees

I am studying for the CIMA qualification this year and will be footing all the bills myself. The tuition fees with BPP are allowable for tax relief AFAIK, but are other fees such as exam fees and exemption fees included also and do I have to claim them at the end of the year or straight away when I pay them?

exam fees/exemption fees are not allowable, just actual course fees.

Claim at end of tax year.
