Tax & Paying for shortfall of relatives retirement home bill

I pay the shortfall of an elderly relatives bill in a private nursing home. I have been doing this since the end of 2000. I was wondering if there are any tax breaks or if I am entitlted to a tax rebate of some sort that I could claim? For information I work in the UK.
 
Where are you resident, ordinarily resident and domiciled. Ultimately where are you resident for the purposes of paying tax?
 
I think you need to see if there are any UK tax reliefs for the payments that you are making so. Note that this site is aimed at primarily Irish personal finance issues.
