Tax on renting rooms in house

Would anyone know the maximum amount you are allowed earn from tenents renting rooms in your house (that you also reside in) before you are required to pay tax ?
 
up to 7Kpa - but you must still declare it as income - there is information on revenue.ie
 
be careful if you go over the limit you get hammered on the full amount .
