I am not surprised too see the cervical cancer vaccine programme has been shelved, due to cost.
Why not increase the tax on cigarettes again to totally fund the vaccination programme, and try to prevent 2 cancers at the same time.
Or is my thinking too simplistic?
Excuse my ignorance, but is there any link between smoking & cervical cancer? If not, then why should smokers only fund it?
Playing devils advocate here, but if they were to go down this route, and I doubt they will, surely it should be taken a step further and women only should be paying the extra tax?
