Just a quick query. My brother is buying a few acres of agricultural land for €180K. What taxes needs to be paid? is it just 9% stamp duty or 20%? Thanks in advance
Just needs to pay stamp duty check [EMAIL="www.revenue.ie"][URL="http://www.revenue.ie/"]www.revenue.ie[/URL][/EMAIL] for rates, 20% tax is payable for CGT purposes i.e if he sells the land.
