Canaries is a tax free island.
However, with the exception of booze and fags which are very heavily taxed here, most other things of a functional nature are not taxed here as much, so you may not have any savings at all. Certainly for clothes and sports gear etc you are better getting them here! You are only saving if it is heavily taxed here.
