Tax Form11

Hi, I recently asked the revenue for a Tax Clearance Cert.
They informed me that I need to submit a Form11 For part of 2001 and also for 2003.

Just wondering why do I need a Form11 form as I have paid my taxes for both those periods
 
Perhaps you could ask the person in Revenue who requested the form from you for clarification. Form's 11 are only requested from those with non-PAYE income. Revenue would appear to have on record that you would have been obliged to file a Form 11 in the year's concerned. Even if taxes ar paid, the absence of the Form could hold up a TCC. I'd check with them ASAP.

was self-employed for part of 2007 but was then out of work for part of the year and as a result was on Job Seeker Benefit (JSB). When completing form 11, does the JSB constitute taxable income that needs to be declared on the form?

JSB does have to be included on the F11, however there are certain components of JSB which are not taxable. Accordingly it is only the "taxable amount" which is entered at line 219 on the F11. The exclusions relate to (a) any part of JSB which is for children and (b) a weekly disregard ( which I think is €13pw ) . You should get the SW to give you a statement of the "taxable JSB" for 2007. They do this all the time.
 
Don't forget to claim the PAYE credit when filling out your Form 11, as you are entitled to it/or a portion of it against your taxable JSB income but not for your self employed income.
