Tax consultant - how much should they charge?

Hi, based in Cork and getting a tax consultant to do an initial report on assets, portfolios, properties etc to determine if there is a more efficient way from a tax perspective to structure things. Have been quoted €750+VAT for the initial report and €200+VAT per hour after that for any additional work we require him to do. Is that expensive or standard?

It does'nt seem too bad when you consider what the possible saving could be. It should'nt take much to get you this saving at the least. But never having dealt with one, I can't comment on comparability - perhaps get a few quotes.
