Hoping someone might be able to help. Father Died in November 2021 probate applied for and received in December 2022. Solicitor now says a Tax Clearance cert is required for my father (can anyone shed light on why this is required), when they applied revenue have asked for form 12 for period Jan 2021 to Nov 2021 be completed. Father's only income was a small private pension and the state pension. Is this form really required by revenue and for what purpose? Who should complete this form as not sure how to get the information?
Revenue request does state " To enable us to issue a letter of clearance, if possible please complete and return a form 12 for period Jan 2021 to Nov 2021."
