Tax - Business Name

A couple of years ago I registered a Business Name with CRO.
It was an idea I had at the time but have never followed through with it.
Never set up a company or anything just registered the business name.
Someone mentioned to me that I should have been filing tax for this business.
Is this correct considering I never went any further than registering a business name?

No. Just registering a business name doesn't create any tax filing obligations.
