Can someone confirm a few things for me as I am a novice in all things tax!

Can a co-habiting couple be assessed jointly with the view to transfer credits?

If a couple are unmarried and have a dependent child who gets the Single with a dependent tax band? One or Both?

Both treated as single. Technically if living together not entitled to one parent extra credit and band- only given if living apart and each parent could claim if living apart and child stays with both at different times
