Hi guys,
I'll try and keep this short
-I'm a student
-I was on paid workplacement with a company for 5 months last year
-I paid some tax which i think i'm entitled to claim back
-I am now working part time at weekend for a different company
-I have my p45 from previous employer but can't find my p60

My question is how do i claim this tax back?
What will i need? (i'm guessin a p50 from a quick google search, right?)
Can i log the claim online on revenue.ie?

Thanks in advance

download form 12 2008 and include all income 01/01/08 to 31/12/08 and request a balancing statement from revenue.

you cant get a p45 and p60 for same job- you get one or the other. in your case put p45 on tax return

Would anyone know how long it takes to get tax back? We claimed on line in early Jan and haven't heard anything, is this usual?

You could do nothing and you might not even get refund. They could deny getting return. they seem to be stalling a lot these days in regard to refunds.

Anyone else waiting you refund, i advice ring and just record on a piece of paper- day time and what they say. at least you have idea of how long you will be waiting.

if you file online-should have assessment back within max 7 days.

paper filing could have a long que
