C carisma Guest 1 May 2008 #1 We rent an apartment from property Agent. However, landlord did not supply PPS number. We want to apply 'Rent relife'. We only have the contract, the name of landlord and his address. Can we apply relief with these information, do not have PPS number of landlord. Many Thanks

G Guest128 Guest 1 May 2008 #3 Definitely you can apply and you most definitely do qualify for it. If the landlord simply forgot to give his PPS number, thats no problem. If he is withholding it, the Revenue will be very interested in him!!

For 2008 max tax relief of :- under age 55 single 2,000 married/widowed 4,000 over age 55 single 4,000 married/widowed 8,000 all at 20%. So for a single under 55 the 2,000 is worth 400 in tax

Click to expand... under the 4 year rule you can submit returns/claims for reliefs up to 4 back years, so in 2008 you can do 2004-2007 back claims.
