Tax 2008

HI,
I filled out a Tax return form for 2008 as I did the rent a room scheme.
I sent it off about 5 weeks ago. When should I hear back from the tax dept.

if you ring tax office they will give you accurate time frame of where it is in system and when it will be processed

Depending

Depending upon your district, possibly another 3-4 weeks. Although if you ring and talk with the right person it is possible it will be bumped up, but be prepared for a long wait ringing.

And unless you filled out the boxes for a direct refund to your bank account, add another fortnight, otherwise an extra few days.
