Anyone recommend this going on last years experience

Hi there,
I bought the VIP tickets last year - and wouldn't recommend them, as all you got in the difference was a glass of champagne and immediate entrace..

If you were going get the €25 tickets...
To be honest, Mr. Bear and I are foodies, and we found that what we spent would have bought us a really nice meal in chapter one - where as we only got samples (and paid heavily too) ... TBH wouldn't go again ....

If it's anything like the tastefest that was on in the RDS in March then it will be good. Some friends of mine went last year and said it was overcrowded and overpriced but hopefully they'll have learned from that.

Taste of Dublin was quite a good experience but the portions were tiny and avg €7- €9 for a main. Starters were around €4 but only 1 or 2 bites worth. Queues were long for every stall too. It's worth going to once but be prepared to spend about €30 to fill your tummy!

Nice way to spend a an hour or two off work on a sunny day.
If you have any sort of appetite you'll need minimum 30-40 euro.
