Tapping into a private sewer

Hello,
Anyone qualified in drainage able to know if one can legally do what's in the Drain domain photo with wavin. Was told by a builder friend I'd have to build a manhole to tap into a private sewer but there's already a manhole nearby "upstream". If I can tap into that one and reverse the flow similar to the drain domain photo is that allowed? It's a private drain serving 4 / 5 houses and obviously it has to be accessed and inspected. Are there building regs on this?
Cheers

The domain photo is a back drop connection. If you get permission to tap in from the owners of the main line that type of connection would need to be proposed and agreed. Generally an engineer would prefer that type of arrangement outside the manhole like link below

If the private sewer is then connected to the Irish water network that would open a while new set of permissions

Ok great thanks, good to know it's possible in some form - I'll run that past the engineer and take it from there.
Cheers
