About a month ago I was about to depart on a long haul flight from Dublin airport while in the queue to board to my surprise a man walked along the queue and asked if anybody had money to declare As I have never seen this before at any airport and think it is a bit late to be asking, has anybody noticed this what are the implications if stopped ?

Anyone taking over €10,000 into or out of the EU must declare it. Probably a Customs official. They have cash detection dogs in the airport specifically trained to sniff out cash
