taking a guarantor of my mortgage

hey guys,
boughta house a coupe of years ago with my dad as guarantor. anyhow i no longer need him and the mortgage is being transferred into my name only. he was never on the deeds. anyway im told i need a solicitor to manage the transfer. i dont have a solicitor and the one i used to buy the property robbed me i felt. just wondering what kind of fees are involved in this and anyone that has done this recommend a good solicitor in the dublin area? thanks
