Hi

I own 50% of an apartment in Budapest, the other co owner is my ex girlfriend. We bought it together in summer of 2007 and
now she has expressed interest in selling next year. For my part I really want to keep the apartment but the questions is:

Is there a possibility to take out a mortgage in Budapest and buy her out? If possible is this complicated?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Assuming that you have regular income, up to 50% of LTV should be quite straightforward for a foreign resident.

In the past, I've found that the best bet is:

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]www.cib.hu, Orsolya Busay, obusay@cib.hu, 00361-423-2537, 1027 Budapest, Medve u.4-14. (close to Batthyány Tér metro stop on M2, the red metro line. Call instead of emailing if you can.)

If you'd prefer a mortgage broker, send me a PM and I'll send a recommendation.

Ok that sounds promising. Thanks for the swift reply.
