Sydney Hotel Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good central hotel in Sydney? I'm going to Oz in a few weeks and am staying in Sydney for 2 nights. I've been looking at the Holiday Inn Old Sydney which seems quite reasonable for its location. Anyone know what it's like or any other hotels in the area?
 
I personally like staying in Darling Harbour near Paddy's Market & China Town... The monorail is right nearby, so you have easy access to Darling Harbour, Centrepoint Tower, Queen Victoria Building, etc, etc... and for a couple of $ for a daily ticket, you can hop-on and off as many times as you like. I highly recommend this location if you're staying in Sydney!

I try to stay in the Clarion Suites whenever I'm in Sydney. It has lovely apartment like rooms. If that's booked up, then my next hotel is [broken link removed]. To book these hotels, wotif is a GREAT site.
