Switching Mortgage?

Hi,

I really need to switch my mortgage as the one I have is waaaay to expensive - already spoke to Permanent TSB and they no longer take on existing mortgages. Does anyone know of a mortgage provider that still takes on existing mortgages?

What's your loan to value? Amount outstanding on mortgage / current value of property?
 
sorry for hijacking, but also interested in switching.

ltv 70%, could bring it down to 50%.

what are my chances of switching in current climate and what costs would occur ?
 
Does a home need to be currentily revalued in order to apply to switch a mortgage? Does the bank provide this service?

I bought an apartment worth 197k 2.5 years ago, Mortgage with FA, then merged into UB. Who charge really high rates.

Can the bank just estimate the LtV?
 
Yes the home will need to be revalued when looking to move to a different lender.
Generally the bank will not provide this service (actually they may provide the service by getting an EA to do valuation, but you will pay for same)

around 150 I think was the going rate?
