Switching Credit Card

I'm thinking of switching my CC to Halifax as they appear to have the best offer at the moment. Are other people of this opinion?

I've seen this CC is called a 'plastic card'. What is the difference between this & say a visa card? Can this plastic card be used for all types of purchases? Are there advantages/disadvantages to this card?

Tks

'Plastic' is just the brand name for Halifax's card - though I don't think they are using it anymore. It's a Visa card too.

If you are after the best introductory offer - then Halifax are beaten by both Ulster (Zinc) and First Active. They both offer 9 months interest free credit on balances and purchases. Halifax only offer 6 months.

i have a halifax credit card. you are right it is not called plastic anymore.

Halifax have the best rate at 9.5% after the 6 months 0% offer has finished, I know First Active, and Ulster offer 3 months more at 0%, but their rates are very high after the offer finishes!
