Switching Alarm providers

I have been a customer of Phonewatch for several years now and am fed up with their increasing prices as I received an email this morning advising me of another increase!!

I would be grateful if anyone had any advice in switching alarm providers, is it easy to do, what disruption if any is there etc.

Cheers.

Have never switched... but watch out for the fact that you probably received a discount on your home insurance for having a monitored alarm. Make sure any new company you switch to would also qualify for that discount or you'll have to notify your insurance company at next renewal.

PhoneWatch might try to tell you otherwise, but all PSA registered monitoring companies qualify for that discount.

OP, if you have the older (pre-Sector buy-out), then any decent alarm company should be able to do this for you.

If you have the newer Sector equipment, you might be better off replacing it and putting proper perimeter protection in place. Post your rough location to get recommendations, or see the PSA registered installers [broken link removed].
