Switching after getting 2% cash back

Has anyone successfully switched mortgage lender after availing of the 2% cash back? I noted the decision made
Regarding BOI clawback and I assume ptsb is the same? I have already requested my redemption figures so I'm going to see if they add the 2% on

It's unlawful to charge a fee to redeem a variable rate mortgage early - has been since 1995.
