Does anyone know if it is possible to get a mortgage on a buy to let in sweden for an Irish person ? if so what kind of ltv's ,int rates etc would be realistic

SEB are the probably the only ones who would consider a mortgage for a non resident. Rents are tightly controlled in Sweden and its a very different system!
I have been in contact with these guys and they are very helpful,
there doesnt seem to be a problem getting a mortgage as a non resident
if you are buying unless you are buying an apartment;
i was thinking Stockholm, but I also have one eye on Malmo mainly because of the new bridge and the knock on effects;
i believe that there is a problem getting finance on apartments though as
apparently 90% of mgt co's only allow for owner occupiers; so it will have to be freehold
could be a good thing? have u had experience there
I live in Stockholm at the moment, don't own any property here though. Prices are rising at the moment and the area around Malmo had some of the largest gains. Lots of Danes and Swedes living there and working in Copenhagen.
