Without getting into the eternal OS religious wars I also like Mint and have installed it on a few older machines where, for one reason or another, there was no Windows license or reinstallation image available. My main personal laptop is still XP though - although I'm seriously considering making the move to Mint there too.or get superior alternatives without locking into Apple - install Linux Mint. Complete with the best balance of free/proprietary software. Free OS upgrades for life! Go Mint!
