Superannuation Payments (tax relief)

Working on a temporary basis with a local authority. Paying this superannuation thing every week.

My statement of allowances and reliefs came out last week & there was no mention of these super annuation payments.

Should I get a copy from the super superannuation people & forward it to the revenue?

I presume these superannuation payments is like pension payments

Superannuation (pension) contributions are deducted before the calculation of tax or PRSI. Your P60 or P45 will show your pay and tax, etc. after superannuation deductions at year-end or when you leave.

if you are only working temperary , pls ensure that you do eventually get the benefit of paying superannuation /..............this will probably be when you are 65 years of age.............when you receive your private pension
