We are thinking about a sunroom and small extension to our kitchen. My sister has recently completed same in her house and had huge trouble with the company who did the work. My friend lives in Naas and said there is a place in Newbridge called http://www.hawkfield.ie/ (Hawkfield Conservatories) and they did a lot of them in her estate. Has anyone here heard of them or delat with them as I am reluctant to go into the unknown especially as we are on a tight budget now. Thanks

Have a large sunroom of the kitchen also, original as a dining room, now a second sitting room, my advice would be top spec insulation and excellent glass,

last christmas we put in double doors (full glass) with side fans and three overhead windows separating the kitchen and sunroom as the temp in the sunroom was considerable lower in the sunroom, at the cost €1525 to buy the doors/pieces plus the price of handles/hinges etc extra (€75) and also it took three days work to fit (thankfully free as we did it ourselves).

Also seen a glass company in paper offering tripple glazed glass that replaces your double glazed glass by simply fitting into your old frames.....

Better to get it right at the building stage....

Hi Concert,

Sorry I can't give you any recommendation or review but I would have to say that their web site and info on it seems impressive. Its very professionally presented and if their workmanship is as good as it looks they would impress. Would have to wonder if they are very expensive? A general 3 week build time seems very fast.

Word of mouth recommendations would appear to have worked in your sister's estate so perhaps she could have a word with someone who used them there.

Concert - How did you get on with the conservatory/sunroom? Thinking along similar line myself. Slim
