Was there last year in September. plenty of tourists there from all over Europe. It is full of hotels, shops and stalls - in my honest opinion going down the road of Costa Del Sol but is much cheaper. Currency is the Lev but Euro welcome in most places. Be careful where you exchange currency. Higher rates available in small outlets and on streets but use banks. Nothing much to see outside Sunny Beach. Took a day trip to ''real Bulgaria into the countryside'' but very uninteresting day trip. If you have the time you could take the 2 day trip to Istanbul. Long bus journey (aprox 7 hours) but includes overnight at Istanbul.
