Hi, I went to cyprus in May for a week in the alaphalandra apts, they were near a shop, a ten minute walk to the beach and if you want the mad stuff the town centre is 5 minutes walk.there was all kinds of people there ,mainly people in their 30s,though some a lot older and only one or two with kids.the apts are not the best in the world, that being said everything is really handy and you will meet people by the pool and end up going out with them.
I wanted to go on my own but chickened out and brought my teenager with me and her friend. We went to some lovly restaurants and went to the town square, which admitedly is MAD,so I couldnt bring them into town.
for me ,it was fine as the choice was there if you wanted peace and quiet or go out with the crowd, would defo go there on my own.
