Sun Holiday for one - any ideas

Afternoon all,
I am a single male early 30's and looking for a recomendation for a chill out sun holiday for a week. Not looking for anything too mad but not overly family either. Hoping to go next weekend/early folloiwng week.
Any ideas for somewhere nice, safe etc would be most welcome
 
You might be better combining a city and a beach such as Barcelona or South of France ie Nice etc..
Less conspicious on your own and more to do and see and variety, plus a handy beach as well.
 
Hi, I went to cyprus in May for a week in the alaphalandra apts,they were near a shop, a ten minute walk to the beach and if you want the mad stuff the town centre is 5 minutes walk.there was all kinds of people there ,mainly people in their 30s,though some a lot older and only one or two with kids.the apts are not the best in the world,that being said everything is really handy and you will meet people by the pool and end up going out with them.
I wanted to go on my own but chickened out and brought my teenager with me and her friend.We went to some lovly restaurants and went to the town square,which admitedly is MAD,so I couldnt bring them into town.
for me ,it was fine as the choice was there if you wanted peace and quiet or go out with the crowd,would defo go there on my own.
 
would recommend cyprus aswell. Loads to see and as they drive on the same side of the road as us, its easy to rent a car and do some exploring. Worth heading out and seeing the mountains and the border of where the Turks own.

Don't know about the 10 minute walk to the beach though .... you must have been speed walking!

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, about 20 minutes from Nice. Beautiful little harbour with great bars and restaurants. Very picturesque. Not an ideal place for families (although I was there in April) and certainly not mad. Great bus and train service all along the coast to Nice, Monaco, Cannes etc. Highly recommended!
 
Ya - I would have to say Nice as well.

I was there last year for a week by myself.

Took in nights aklso in cannes,mnaco.

They are only 20 minute train ride - bit like the dart.

Nice has got a lovely beach too.

Also a great irish bar theer called ma nolans.

Also - it has a casino if you are into that sort of thing.
 
would second /third the Nice idea as well.stunning place.
