Summer 2014, thinking of booking a long haul flight?

Readers of AAM should be aware that Emirates are currently doing a mystery shopper blitz on Irish travel agents. It goes like this. The shopper phones looking for a fare and if the travel agent recommends Emirates first then the travel agent wins either a €50 shopping voucher or a bottle of Champagne for themselves.

Thought I'd bring this to your attention as with this type of practice, perhaps you may not be getting the best value out there.

Just use this http://matrix.itasoftware.com/ which is the same software the travel agents use. You can't book through it but you will know what information to show the travel agents when booking. Obviously this isn't helpful if you're buying a package including hotels.
