Suitable Paint for Felt Roof

Has anyone painted their garden shed felt roof? If so, what product did you use and how did it turn out?

Want to paint mine black, but not sure what type of paint to use. Saw one recommendation for Johnson's Bitumen on boards.ie - bitumen sounds like it might be a bit smelly and sticky and perhaps difficult to work with. Any other suggestions appreciated.

hiya - used this:

in the past on a small shed roof area (felt) - applied with a brush - wasn't too smelly/sticky... but wear gloves when applying it ...

Most roof sealer paints will be of the same consistency...
