Suggestions for 3 night break in Ireland

Somewhere with some nice scenery, lakeside perhaps, good food and cosy atmophere. Don't want to break the bank! Any suggestions??
 
Harveys Point Hotel or somewhere in the Gweedore area, both in Donegal. If going to Gweedore, flying to Carrickfinn might be an idea.

Killaloe/Ballina in Clare/Tipperary. The Tuamgrainey/Mountshannon area is also nice (Lough Derg).

Oughterard in Co. Galway.
 
Harvey's Point has been on the list for a while now. Not much change from a grand though! Was looking at hotels in Killaloe earlier. Will check out Mountshannon too. Thanks for your input.
 
There are good choices in Killarney and Wexford that would not break the bank and might fit your criteria. I can recommend The Ferrycarrig in Wexford and there is also Whites and The Talbot in the town centre. Killarney has any amount of good hotels. Also Athlone might be worth considering with the Raddison and the Hodson Bay offering reasonable value. Galway is always a nice option with loads of good hotels also.
