Suggestion for Romantic Weekend Scotland

Hi all,

I'm travelling to Irvine the 27th July on business and would like to stay the weekend and fly my new girlfriend over for a romantic weekend.

Can anyone suggest accommodation/location for a romantic weekend away in Scotland.

I'd love to bring her somewhere with nice scenary and is reasonably priced.

Thanks in advance. I am looking at tripadvisor and other travel forums but I am just looking for personal suggestions/recommendations.

two fat ladies in Glasgow is a small, fantastic restaurant, great atmosphere, near Kelvin Grove museum in the west end.

Take a boat to the Isle of Arran and stay in Auchranny house hotel
It's a lovely country style hotel there is new spa type hotel but that is seperate and seems to cater more for families -the original hotel is lovely roaring fires and comfy couches. Theres good walking around the area and the people are great. Food is excellent there too.
