I have a Non resident Barclays current bank account and need to transfer funds into another sterling account. Spoke to AIB Bank of Ireland and PTSB and all said no.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

Bank of Ireland UK? Partner opened a basic type account with them (now called a clear account I think). You should be able to open it over the phone or maybe even online. There are various documents you'll need to upload/send. If you have a BOI account down here as your local branch can certify your docs, but there are other ways too.

Do HSBC still do non-resident accounts for EU residents. They did do them up to last year?
Is there a charge with the Bank of Ireland UK accounts with a debit card.
I noticed that Bank of Ireland have closed branches in Belfast. Do they have any branches in London theses days?

I opened one with ulster bank 2012, still have it, maybe not an option now that ulster bank no longer here. It was relatively easy but that maybe because ulster had a branch network here
