Lookin for some feedback from any previous owners.

are services expensive.

are parts expensive.

really like the car, goin takin one for a test drive saturday. i might look into goin to uk as cars there seem to be way better speced and have fsh's and better priced too.

model im lookin at is ~'00 or ~01. dont know whether to go for standard or turbo. i know they are not great with fuel economy.

is there anything i should look out for when buying 2nd hand?

I nearly bought one a few years ago.

Good yokes and turbo is quick. Heavy on fuel. Reliable though.

Interior is plastic and is cheap looking. Exterior is tough looking but a bit tinny.

All weather pack is a good option.

Just got rid of our one recently. Nice strong reliable vehicle but heavy on fuel ( especially the Turbo , and if you cane it). Check out the rear suspension, its some sort of self levelling job and we were quoted 1200 to replace it from a main dealer.

Very reliable.

Also, if de ve-hikk-il is good enough for de gardaí...

cheers, i bought a '00 standard model y'day. well taken care of, very clean, 96k miles. timing belt done at 65k.
