My partner is a tradesman in the construction industry. He has two customers that have not paid their bills. One built a mansion then couldn't pay for it, the other is a contractor (the outstanding payment is for a job that my partner was subcontracting on) I think this guy is a bit of a gangster....gives out cheques but they never clear, will get out of paying anything.

Can my partner go back onto both properties and undo the work he's done? ie. take slates off roof.

thanks

AFAIK, the "reservation of title" clause only applies to goods / materials supplied. Unless the tradesman supplied the slates, nails, battens or felt with a reservation of title clause on the invoice he could be charged with theft, criminal trespass or vandalism if he attempts to remove the slates.
