hi, i'm traveling in asia at the moment... i'm on a 2 year career break.
i had a halifax cc, which i was using as an atm card, as the fees were 1.1% as apposed to my ptsb lazer cards fees of 3.5%
i used to load the cc with cash.
so, halifax have jumped ship and left me in asia with no cc... i got onto my bank, ptsb, and was told there was no way i'd get a card, as i'm not in current employment... and even mbna wouldn't give me one!
my bank said that i could probably get a visa debit... but the atm charges are the same... which is useless....
can anyone recomend a visa debit card... with decent atm charges... thanks.
