Stubbs Gazette - unpaid toll fees

Hi, I have a query in relation to the Stubbs Gazette & credit rating etc..
We allowed my partners brother to register his car at our address even though he does not live here, which means any time he passes through the toll bridge, we are getting his unpaid toll fee letters. He's racked up a few hundred euro at this point, despite all the reminders.
He recently received a solicitors letter which stated that if he didn't pay up the solr would apply to have his name added to the Stubbs Gazette as a bad debtor.
Basically, I am just wondering if it is likely to have any affect on OUR credit rating & history. I am worried that his actions may somehow affect our credit.
Can anyone advise on this??

It should have no effect on your or your partner because Stubbs will register it in the persons name (and address) and it doesn't effect other people at the same address.
In the UK some credit agencies are using names and postcode's and this can mean that people with same names are getting the credit rating of someone else who lives in same postcode. However this is not the case here.

How do you know he has all these toll-bridge debts? Are you opening post addressed to him? Why not just mark the envelopes "Not Known at the Address" and drop them into a post box?
