Happened suddenly when trying to open Word attachments. I'm getting an error window (headed Visual C++ runtime library) Can open other Word files no problem - it only seems to affect email attachments.
The message reads:
" Runtime error. This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team..."
Computer is clean AFAIK.
Checked with Microsft tech. site and it offers a hotfix but with a warning that it hasn't been fully tested or something...
Is it OK to download this fix or has anyone else come across this error message?
