Storm damage to tree

Looking for some helpful advice.

I lost half of a spectacularl 20ft Japanese Maple in the storm on Friday night. I expect the other half to survive but regrowth looks unlikely (is there a magic ointment?)

Has anyone experience of replacing a similar tree with a mature tree
? I do not have the time to wait for 10 years of growth as the tree is a centre piece in a small garden
