storing logs/turf outside

we'd like to store out logs outside to let the air get at them, and I've stacked them in the corner of the patio against the house, what's a good way of covering them such that the rain does not get at them (much) but air can get at them, without doing a lot of building/diy, or at least sth simple..

I have wood and turf stored out the back, and I have couvered them with thick (1000 guage I think) plastic, which I got from a builder. Works a treat.
