Three yrs ago I bought some furniture from Laura Ashley. At the time the company operated a loyalty card whereby if you purchased 6 items from the store the customer would receive 10% of the total value of the 6 items against a 7th item purchased(my furniture cost about 4k so that together with five other items would mean a substantial discount of at least Euros 400).
In the interim the shop withdrew the loyalty card scheme. There was no notice informing customers that the scheme had been withdrawn. When I asked an assistant(and I did this on 3 different occasions to make sure the card could still be used) I was told that the shop was going to honour all existing loyalty cards but were just not issuing new cards. However when I went to make a purchase and use my loyalty card about a week ago I was told that the card could no longer be used.
Does anyone know my rights on this...
